I've always loved horses. I have fond memories of my Mother and Grandmother buying me Breyer horses at Woolworths. Which I still have, by the way.
Photography, however, has been recent. About six or seven years ago, a beautiful Cardinal flew into our apple tree. Being from extreme Northern Wisconsin, this just doesn't happen, it's too cold for them. I became intrigued and maybe, obsessed with getting him to stay. I bought every kind of seed and feeder available. It worked! I still have them. And it just started from there. Unbeknownst to me, cardinals for whatever reason, disappear for weeks at a time sometimes? In those times, I ventured out to see what else was out my door. Venturing farther and farther.
My horse photography began as we visited Theodore Roosevelt National Park in 2017. Our first visit, I became hooked! We have taken every vacation since, there. As much as we could we would visit. Being 600 miles away it wasn't easy. Until........we visited the McCullough Peaks, near Cody, Wyoming last year. Now we are torn. But, we spend time on our vacations in both places!
Join me, my husband, and our Pug, Jesse James on our adventures and our spending as much time with these wilds as possible.
Thank You for visiting and I hope you join me as I grow with my photography. I hope there will be big things happening on the horizon!
